Meeting for the media and website committee

Introduction:

 

The meeting aimed to discuss the actions and plans required to promote project's activities for targeted groups over internet and social networks. the guests represent the most active Facebook pages in Palestine. Other Facebook pages coordinators were invited to join, but were unable to arrive for their private reasons. The meeting discussions were as following:
 
- Dr.Jalal Al-Dabbeek presented a briefing about the project and the activities that have been executed within the project; he also presented the goals of the project and a briefing about the partners and donors. He also explained the importance of promoting the project to a broad section of people from different groups and communities.
 
- Eng. Sami Sadder: explored the website of the project (sasparm.ps) and the stages that have been accomplished, he also presented the first electronic newsletter for the project in Arabic and English. Eng. Sadder proposed a media plan to promote this newsletter to as much as possible of selected and defined audience.
 
- Khalid Mufleh: explored the efforts that have been done until the meeting time, he reported that the newsletter has been sent to the University community including staff and students. He also reported that the newsletter was also sent by email to other public relations departments in other Palestinian universities for promotion on their internal portals. Mr. Mufleh also reported that the newsletter was sent to local journalists working at different media including newspapers, TV and Radio stations and websites.
 
 

 The discussions with participants and guests agreed the following items:

 

     To promote the newsletter of the project as well as the website on long term basis over the social media websites such as Facebook that is the most popular in Palestinian Areas. A call has been sent to all  national partners for the university to put links for the project’s website on their official websites and pages.
